Travelscope continues its winning run on American television by being nominated for not one but three Emmys after episodes including their feature on the endangered mountain gorillas in Rwanda! During their filming they stayed at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge and experienced one of our safaris, meeting the local community and visiting the Agashya gorilla group!
We are delighted to share the news that Joseph Rosendo’s Travelscope has received three nominations in the 39th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. The three categories are ‘Outstanding Special Class Directing’ (Joseph Rosendo), ‘Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Photography’ (Jon Speyers and Zebediah Smith) and ‘Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing, Live Action’ (A Tad Chamberlain and Jason Grigg).
The show was previously awarded an Emmy in 2011 for ‘Single Camera Photography’ and Joseph Rosendo, host, writer and director of the show is delighted to have been professionally recognised at the Emmys for a third consecutive year, saying ‘We’re thrilled and feel privileged to be honoured once again by our industry peers. We are grateful for the Academy’s acknowledgement of our individual and team creative efforts.’
Needless to say, we are wishing the Travelscope team the best of luck for June 17th, when the Emmys are being held, and hope that we will have more to celebrate from their stay at Virunga Lodge!
