Volcanoes Safaris: Update on Ebola in Uganda

We are delighted to report that the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ugandan Ministry of Health officially declared Uganda Ebola-free on 26 August 2026, following the completion of the mandatory 42-day monitoring period with no new Ebola cases.

Travel to Uganda, gorilla tracking and lodges continue normally

Travel to and within Uganda continues normally, with no restrictions on movement within the country. Uganda’s national parks, gorilla and chimpanzee tracking, and all Volcanoes Safaris lodges are operating normally.
