Dismas was born in Rugwiro village, Musanze District in Rwanda. He graduated at Kitabi college holding a diploma in tourism and destination management.

He started as an  intern at Virunga Lodge and is now a birder at the lodge.  

Dismas enjoys reading wildlife books, nature walks and bird watching. His favorite birds are Dove and turaco.
