It's a week of award-winning celebrations for Volcanoes Safaris as our second award rolls in! Virunga Lodge has been awarded TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence 2012! The Certificate of Excellence honours only those properties that consistently earn top ratings from guests and are "the most exceptional performers in TripAdvisor's global business community". it is a tremendous honour and we are exceptionally proud of all our wonderful staff at Virunga Lodge, particularly the Manager, David, for helping to make the lodge one of the best properties in Rwanda and one of the most celebrated lodges in the Volcanoes Collection! The magnificent Virunga Safari Lodge, set on a stunning hillside, has eight bandas with a panoramic view of the Virunga volcanoes and the lakes Ruhondo and Bulera. Aside from gorilla tracking , clients can climb a volcano, track the golden monkey, visit Dian Fossey's grave or go for gentle strolls around the picturesque villages near the lakes. the lodge is three hours' drive from Kigali or a long day's drive from Kampala.
