Joachim Luyimbazi was born and raised in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. 

He has been a guide for over nine years and speaks a number languages, including English, Luganda, and Runyankole. 

His favourite animal is the elephant, as they are generally peaceful and have strong social connections with other animals, becoming defensive only when necessary. One of Joachim's favorite wildlife locations in Uganda is Kidepo Valley National Park, known for its vast and remote wilderness.
